With it’s crisp mornings and sunny days, Spring is the perfect time to enjoy our gourmet culinary adventure within the picturesque Rutherglen region. A progressive picnic lunch with a difference, leisurely make your way around four Rutherglen and Wahgunyah wineries, Cofield Wines, Pfeiffer Wines, Stanton & Killeen Wines and Buller Wines, stopping at each to enjoy a seasonally inspired dish prepared by at The Pickled Sisters Cafe. Each dish is matched to a glass of specially selected wine from each of the award winning wineries.
The Seasonal Food Foray gives you the chance to experience a unique food and wine experience here in Rutherglen, custom designed to showcase the best the season, and the region, has to offer. A not to be missed gourmet experience!

Perfect to drive, or why not hop on a bike and combine with a ride along the Wahgunyah to Rutherglen stretch of the rail trail. We are happy to organise bike hire for you. The cost is $50 for a full day’s bike hire

Cost: $60 per person. Includes all four food and wine combinations, with detailed tasting notes, map and suggested itinerary.

Pfeiffer Wines: 
Milawa Free Range Chicken & Pistachio Terrine with peach chutney, paired with 2013 Pfeiffer Marsanne

Stanton & Killeen Wines: Succulent Confit Duck with raspberry dressed rocket, spiced oranges & shaved fennel, paired with 2012 Stanton & Killeen Shiraz Durif.

Buller Wines: Rich Chocolate Torte with chocolate sauce, paired with Buller Old Fine Muscat
