Celebrate Senior’s Month with a Journey into Rutherglen’s Golden Past.

Join the Rutherglen Gold Battery Committee and the Indigo Shire Council this October as they honour Senior’s Month with a special tour and video presentation at the historic Rutherglen State Gold Battery.

Meet them at the entrance gate of the Gold Battery Compound, Battery Road, Rutherglen. Parking is available off the roadway.

Bring comfortable walking shoes, any walking aids you require, sun hat and water bottle. There are no toilet facilities at the Gold Battery.

Refreshments and friendly volunteers will be ready to answer your questions or share more stories after the presentation.

They look forward to welcoming you and sharing their passion for Rutherglen’s golden heritage.
