The Rutherglen Annual Agricultural Show is an event open to the wider community which features many of the traditional aspects of a Rural show – full horse program, cattle handling/parading, sheep and fleece exhibits, farm produce, poultry exhibits, pavilion competitions including baking, needlecrafts, photography, arts/crafts, and horticulture.

Many displays of unique skills including the dog high jump, NEBAA wood chop, tentpegging Victoria, facepainting, and shearing. They also have a limited number of market stalls if you’re looking for a bargain.

They encourage all ages to enter as an exhibitor or simply to come along and enjoy a wonderful community event. A variety of food and drink options are available. Victorian Showmen’s Guild side shows are amongst the entertainment options, along with Clydesdale wagon rides, and live variety performances.
