Conversations at Rutherglen Carlyle Cemetery

  • 20 Oct 202510:00am - 11:00am

167 Distillery Road Wahgunyah 3687

Join a reflective and engaging morning at the historic Carlyle Cemetery, hosted by the Carlyle Army Volunteers in partnership with Indigo Shire Council as part of Senior’s month celebrations.

This guided tour offers two options. The main walk is approximately 45 minutes at a relaxed pace. There is a shorter tour option with a duration of approximatelty 20 minutes for those preferring a brief overview.

Discover the stories behind the headstones, explore notable burial sites, and learn about the lives and events that shaped Rutherglen’s past. Refreshments will be served under the rotunda following the tour, with volunteers available to answer questions and share further insights.

Please bring comfortable walking shoes, sun hat and water. You can also bring any walking aids you may require. Please note: There are no toilet facilities at the cemetery.

The team look forward to welcoming you for a morning of history, conversation, and community.
