Just minutes by car from Rutherglen, Corowa is a thriving Murray River township, just over the border in New South Wales.
Like the nearby townships of Rutherglen and Wahgunyah, Corowa is a historic town, most famous for being the birthplace of Federation. The Corowa Federation Conference took place in 1893, with many of the proposals put forward at that meeting adopted when federation was passed in 1901.
