Barbara Pritchard’s love of the landscape is captured in this exhibition with charcoal and handmade inks on paper as well as works on canvas and textiles incorporating paint.
Often working ‘en plein air’ she tries to capture the atmospheric changes through through layering of the views around her. Especially the fog and misty atmosphere on the river and weir in winter and during the change of seasons. Behind her work is a passion for the giant red gums that are sentinels to history and their habitat and who’s lives are precious.
Barbara strives to capture the fragility and vulnerability of the Upper Murray eco system.
Barbara has lived in the Upper Murray and worked from her studio for 45 years.
